Introducing ANYA KAMAREK
Tuesday, 24 April 2012
Based in East London, Anya Kamarek is a designer who explores influences such as architecture, installation, photography, and further combined in an individual and well-defined fashion. Graduating from the Central St Martins College of Art and Design with a Postgraduate Certificate in Innovative Pattern Cutting she has since created two successful collections, AK and Monochrome. SHOP172 welcomes the collection Monochrome into our store with great excitement.
Anya’s eye for detail when it comes to minimalism is purely impeccable.
The visual impact that comes from this monochromatic collection stems from concepts
of architecture and genderless forms. This
is shown in the collection as everything we have in store right now can be worn
by both genders. We have some incredible pieces in store. We have jackets with removable
sleeves and extra sleeves. Meaning you could switch up your look and wear the
jacket sleeveless, with PVC sleeves or with cotton sleeves. Other favourites that we have in store include
the washed splash trousers, mixing the monochromatic look with the element of
photography and some beautifully draped jersey tops.

NATALIE ANNE MORAN SS12
Wednesday, 11 April 2012
Playful, young, fresh and flirty. Natalie Anne Moran’s latest collection, inspired by artist Niki De Saint Phalle's assemblage work, is an exploration of clichéd femininity. Channelling Female archetypes and brides from Miss Haversham to Stephanie Seymour with a modern girl twist. The experimentation of textures is explosive, from tulle to denim and all in a colour pallet so fresh and joyful. This season Natalie has taken influence from photographer Alice Hawkins, her photographs of Blackpool and Vegas have inspired a colour saturated and embellished range of pieces. Some of our favourite pieces in our shop right now are the colourful denim patch work shorts, when paired with the lilac cut off tank top it creates a look perfect for summer. We also love the sheer tulle white dress with gold polka dots, so pretty and dainty, such a romantic piece that really embodies the spirit of the collection.
