The summer was nice as always with romantic retrospection and wrinkled, flapping clothes. Now that’s all over, once and for all, but at Shop 172 we cannot deny that we have been waiting for something else to come. We have missed something modern and tailored and most of all, we have longed for the darkness of Claudia Ligari. Italian Claudia Ligari graduated from Instituto Marangoni in Milan in 2004 and launched her own label in fall 2009. She has a feeling for the sculptural and minimalistic. The straight silhouettes in this autumn’s collection give a new impression from each angle. In a mix of material-graphical-garments have been chiselled out with padded cubic shapes and out cuts. Each garment in this collection is at once elegant and experimental. This is well-made fashion that will last over time. We are now looking into the future.
