HISTORY
Opened in October 2006, partnership of independent designers and a trader of Japanese apparel fashion. The initial purpose is to sell their collection in the common place. The creative spirit of each designer allowed to built a cosy underground neo-baroque boutique atmosphere during the first era of SHOP 172.

Since April 2008, the shop has evolved in fresher spirit being analogico-contemporary with wider designers range. The shop is a relax oasis to the busy Brick lane and can be homely giving a one on one service.

CONCEPT
Being unique by following the overall fashion trends. We provide a more international range, making the clashing of cultures form are individual stance within the mainly vintage and lower range of our neighbouring shops.

Although our boutique being high quality however still keeping the essence of what fashion is to us ; Casual, Underground, Street, Unique, quirky shapes, Baggy lines to adapt most of sizes.

With fashion becoming more androgynous we don’t like to label our clothes as menswear/womenswear but unisex. Are clothes can be structure with many different ways of wearing them which allows our customer to adapt and put their own stamp on it according to their lifestyle.

Our fusion of cultures within the clothes comes out with our eclectic decoration with old and new colliding and we always playing ambient atmospheric music that's edgy and independent like our clothes.

LOCATION
Brick lane, Shoreditch East London fashion district, where night and day a large artistic community, shops, write, paint, graffiti, conversate. Walking down brick lane you will meet new friends. Cultures clash but form diverse groups, Brick Lane has that feel of a Community from the Sunday market but Fashion is accepted no matter what you wear. It's a catwalk which walls are shops, restaurants, cafes and homeware.

Architect, designers, musicians, DJ’s, poets, those who enjoy original fashion, and the atmosphere of the shops which is similar to a relaxed café. People who enjoy to relax and look at clothes indivudually rather that racking through sales rails and vintage shops.
